Our Environmental Services Business Unit has won a record-breaking project through Tehama, LLC, the highest-valued contract won by the company to date. The Small Business Association 8(a) contract provides civil engineering management services at Tinker Air Force Base (TAFB) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The 72nd  Civil Engineer Squadron provides the contract with a potential value of $99,975,000 over 5.5 years.

“We are honored by this contract award and the continuation of our support to the U.S. Air Force at Tinker AFB,” Sherry Gibson, Environmental Business Unit Manager for the Tepa Companies, said.

TAFB’s primary mission is to manage, store and maintain components, end items and major weapon systems assigned to the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC), one of three Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) depot-level maintenance facilities in the Air Force. TAFB is the headquarters for the AFSC and provides expeditionary capabilities to warfighters through depot maintenance, supply chain management and installation support. TAFB is also home to over thirty associate organizations, such as the Defense Information Services Agency, the Defense Logistics Agency and four flying wings representing three Air Force Commands and the Navy.

Under this contract, Tehama supports the 72nd Civil Engineer Directorate’s (CE) mission of providing world-class, efficient and effective engineering management to sustain, restore, modernize and protect TAFB’s facilities, infrastructure and environment. With a full-time staff of over 70, including engineers, architects, technical personnel, inspectors, quality control managers and administrators, Tehama will assist the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering staff in managing 19 million square feet in more than 425 facilities on 5,000 acres of land at TAFB. Services include maintaining and improving TAFB’s facilities (built and natural) infrastructure and modernizing their installation through architectural and engineering consulting, investigations, evaluations, drafting, surveying, mapping and engineering technical services, and project and construction management.

“This award demonstrates the expertise and deep resources the Tepa Companies bring to ensure the readiness of one of our nation’s most critical military facilities,” Charles Arthur, Program Manager for the Tepa Companies, said.
