The 4th Infantry Division Combat Aviation Brigade (ID CAB) Vehicle Bridge and Road project involved the construction of a new four-lane vehicular bridge leading into Fort Carson in Colorado. In addition to the construction of the bridge, the project included the following:
- Rerouting of an existing road, two tank trails and an adjacent ditch
- New connector road
- Permanent wetland mitigation
- Electric service, street lighting, water, sewer, gas
- Curbs and gutters
- Walkway paving
- Storm drainage
- Site work
- Exterior information systems
- Traffic signage
All roadways and tank trails remained open during construction. The team is constructing a roundabout and road extension as a scope modification.
