The North Colorado Readiness Center project involved the construction of a new 65,641 SF building to house the Headquarters Company and the Alpha Rifle Company of the newly created 1/157th Infantry Battalion. The center helps the Colorado Army National Guard perform its mission more efficiently and effectively.
In addition to the new building, the team constructed the following:
- Office space, classrooms, kitchen, restrooms, training and storage areas
- Electrical, mechanical and plumbing
- Fire protection and elevator systems
- TA-50 lockers, complete kitchen and food-service equipment, dock equipment and furniture package
- Roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) arrays on the covered parking structures
- Earthwork, site utilities, stormwater drainage, asphalt paving, concrete paving and covered parking structures
- Roadway improvements and new access road
The building is a U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (USGBC LEED) Gold-certified project.
