Client: U.S. Army National Guard
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado
Contract Value:  $18.6M

The North Colorado Readiness Center project involved the construction of a new 65,641 SF building to house the Headquarters Company and the Alpha Rifle Company of the newly created 1/157th Infantry Battalion. The center helps the Colorado Army National Guard perform its mission more efficiently and effectively.

In addition to the new building, the team constructed the following:

  • Office space, classrooms, kitchen, restrooms, training and storage areas
  • Electrical, mechanical and plumbing
  • Fire protection and elevator systems
  • TA-50 lockers, complete kitchen and food-service equipment, dock equipment and furniture package
  • Roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) arrays on the covered parking structures
  • Earthwork, site utilities, stormwater drainage, asphalt paving, concrete paving and covered parking structures
  • Roadway improvements and new access road
A modern, spacious indoor courtyard with a high ceiling featuring a skylight and a large, grayscale mural of a soldier on the far wall. The space includes sleek, white tables and chairs in the center, and contemporary seating along the sides.
The image shows a circular gold seal with the text "U.S. Green Building Council" around the edge and "LEED Gold" in the center. The seal features three stylized leaves in the middle and the acronym "USGBC" at the bottom.

The building is a U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (USGBC LEED) Gold-certified project.
