Contract Value:  $753K

The Repair/Construct Multiple U.S. Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH) Projects Task Order #2 contract included six sub-tasks, from replacing doors to constructing new structures to installing a new air conditioning system.

The team performed the following sub-tasks on the Homestead Army Reserve Base in Florida:

  • Replaced egress warehouse doors in Building 600 (HQ SOCSOUTH) with security doors
  • Replaced covered, open-sided storage structure adjacent to Hangar 741, including new foundations, structure and roof
  • Installed secure storage enclosures in Building 314, including high-security, heavy-duty mesh partition walls
  • Installed air conditioning system in Building 315, which included two three-ton DX units
  • Installed 4,500 SF pre-engineered, metal-frame structure inside Hangar 741, including a new 12.5-ton HVAC unit
Construction workers are using scissor lifts inside a large warehouse to install a steel frame structure, supporting what appears to be a mezzanine level. The space is expansive, with high ceilings and industrial lighting, and the area is visibly under development.
