Safety is embedded in everything we do, and we believe it is everyone’s responsibility. In fact, safety is so important to us, we’ve made it one of our Core Values. As a client or employee, you will experience our measures to keep our people safe and witness projects of the highest quality, from estimates, schedules, proposals, and written communications to all aspects of a project’s phase. 

 

Tepa’s current Experience Modification Rate (EMR) is 0.69. The rating is factored from several indicators, including injury costs, claim history, etc., and is one method utilized to predict possible future risks.

Safety Leadership Award

The National Safety Council Safety Leadership Award goes to companies that achieve five straight years of no occupational injuries or illnesses requiring employees to be away from work or death.

Perfect Record Award

The National Safety Council Perfect Record Award goes to companies that reach 12 months without an occupational injury, illness or death.

Occupational Excellence Achievement Award

The National Safety Council Occupational Excellence Achievement Award goes to companies that maintain injury and illness records better than or equal to 50% of the Bureau of Labor Statistics for their North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code.

SBA 8(a) Business Development Program Company of the Year

Three Tepa Companies were named the combined 2017 8(a) Business Development Program Company of the Year by the Small Business Administration (SBA), Kansas City District. Medvolt, Tehama and Tukuh Technologies were honored with the award after securing a combined $100 million-plus worth of federal contracts during the fiscal year 2016 with the support of the SBA. The three Tepa Companies were chosen from more than 40 8(a) companies across 89 counties in Missouri and Kansas.
