"The Tepa Companies help us accomplish the dreams of our ancestors and elders to set up the Tribe’s future for many generations to come and give back to the surrounding communities. Their success is our success."

The Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians, a federally recognized tribe with lands in Corning, California, is devoted to strengthening its economy for the benefit of its tribal members and the surrounding community through the development and growth of its economic enterprises, including the Tepa Companies. The Tribe actively supports its members and surrounding residents through diversified business holdings and contributions to community organizations from the Paskenta Nomlaki Foundation. In addition to the Tepa Companies, the Tribe owns and operates the Rolling Hills Casino, The Links at Rolling Hills golf course, an entertainment center, an equestrian center, Paskenta Brewery and Distillery, a robust health clinic and a community center.

    History

The Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians is part of the enduring legacy of Everett Freeman (1931-2010), an elder of the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians who led the efforts of the tribe to regain federal re-recognition of his community in 1994. His commitment extended beyond the Nomlaki community to its surrounding neighbors and land, with a keen understanding that cooperation and mutual support would raise the standing of all.
