Kansas City, MO (January 10, 2024)— In a significant development, Roundhouse PBN & Tepa ES, two Tepa Companies, has been awarded a $49 million contract by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Savannah District to undertake the comprehensive renovation of a historic three-story barracks at Ft. Moore, Georgia.

The barracks, an architectural gem constructed in 1929, has been a cornerstone of Ft. Moore’s military heritage, currently serving as a crucial facility for Non-Commissioned Officer Academy Senior Enlisted students and permanent party personnel. The upcoming renovation is set to breathe new life into this iconic structure, ensuring it continues to play a vital role in supporting military personnel.

The renovation project’s scope includes many improvements to bring the barracks up to modern standards. The planned repairs include overhauls to the electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems and enhancements to life safety features. Structural repairs will ensure the longevity of the building, while new windows and interior finishes promise a revitalized aesthetic. Notably, the project also includes the installation of a new elevator, enhancing accessibility for all occupants.

This substantial undertaking marks the largest, unrestricted competitive project ever awarded to the Tepa Companies Southeast Region.

“We were able to produce a comprehensive estimate based on the specific project requirements utilizing local and regional subcontractors,” Eric Anania, Construction Regional Manager, Southeast, said. “[Our plan is to] utilize the project qualifications to continue pursuing larger projects that fit the capabilities of our staff.

As Roundhouse PBN & Tepa ES take on this historic renovation, the company remains dedicated to delivering top-tier construction solutions and preserving the rich heritage of military infrastructure.
