Client:  USACE, Omaha District
Location: Fort Carson, Colorado
Contract Value:  $9M

The 10th Special Forces Language Training Facility, PN 47942 project involves designing and constructing a new 18,500 SF Special Operations Forces (SOF) training facility at Fort Carson, Colorado. The building is made of traditional light gauge framing, a standing seam metal roof (SSMR) and a masonry exterior. It is being built similarly to higher education classroom facilities in the private sector and includes:

  • Administrative offices
  • Classrooms
  • Reference library
  • Resource center
  • Language proficiency testing spaces
  • Multipurpose room
  • Associated support spaces

Tepa also is responsible for site development and utility work. The facility is being constructed to U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (USGBC LEED) Silver standards and meets anti-terrorism/force protection (AT/FP) design and construction requirements and air barrier design and testing requirements.
