Kansas City, Missouri—The Tepa Companies have been named key sponsors of the National Museum of Toys and Miniatures’ newest exhibition, Native Arts in Miniature, a landmark showcase celebrating the artistry, heritage, and innovation of Native American creators working in miniature formats. The exhibition, which opened with a well‑attended reception, will remain on view through January 25, 2027.

The exhibit highlights diverse tribal traditions through intricately crafted works, supported by video interviews and interpretive materials that center artists’ voices and creative processes. Featured pieces range from Katsina carvings to contemporary baleen basketry, offering visitors a rich, multidimensional look at Native artistry across generations.

The Tepa Companies, which shared their pride in supporting the museum and participating in the opening reception, joins a coalition of sponsors that includes the City of Kansas City; the Missouri Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund; the Missouri Arts Council; Shook, Hardy & Bacon; Travois; and private donors. Their support helps promote an exhibition that honors cultural legacy while fostering public engagement with Native artists and communities.

The museum noted that the opening reception was an evening of celebration, featuring music, community partners, and remarks recognizing the collaborative effort behind the exhibition’s development. Organizers emphasized that the success of Native Arts in Miniature reflects the contributions of advisory group members representing multiple tribal nations, museum staff, and sponsors like the Tepa Companies, whose commitment made the project possible.

With programming planned throughout the exhibition’s multiyear run, visitors are encouraged to explore the collection and follow the museum for updates on future events and educational opportunities.
