The Tepa Companies recently welcomed Tribal youth from the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians and their descendants to Camp Tepa, an immersive STEM-focused experience aimed at connecting young people to future career opportunities while strengthening their ties to the Tribe and the Tepa team.

Throughout the event, campers participated in a variety of interactive activities designed to showcase real-world applications of communication, technology, engineering, and environmental conservation. Students explored careers through hands-on experiences such as flying drones, operating mini excavators, building bat houses, participating in fire extinguisher simulations, constructing aquifer models, and engaging in other activities led by Tepa professionals. These experiences provided campers with a firsthand look at the skills, innovation, and teamwork that drive Tepa’s operations every day.

Camp Tepa is more than a day of learning. It serves as an opportunity to build connections between Tribal youth, Tepa employees, and the broader Tribal community. By creating an environment where students can ask questions, explore new interests, and interact with professionals from a variety of disciplines, the program helps open doors to future educational and career pathways.

As a tribally owned organization, the Tepa Companies remain committed to investing in future generations and creating opportunities that empower Native youth to succeed. Camp Tepa embodies this commitment by encouraging curiosity, fostering mentorship, and helping students envision the possibilities that lie ahead.

The Tepa Companies extend their gratitude to all campers, families, facilitators, and employees who helped make Camp Tepa a success. Together, they are helping inspire tomorrow’s leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers.
